ARIZONA 811 PLEDGE OF SAFETY
Public safety and the underground utility infrastructure in Arizona are protected when the Arizona 811 system is used to have the locations of buried facilities marked before excavation begins.
Our Candidate/Campaign recognizes that safety and damage prevention are a shared responsibility and hereby takes THE ARIZONA 811 PLEDGE OF SAFETY to protect the safety of our campaign workers, vendors, volunteers, and the public while preventing the interruption of vital services caused by accidental utility strikes.
Our Candidate/Campaign PLEDGES to:
- Compile a list of all intersections/corners where all political signs will be installed.
- Submit the identified list of political sign locations as far as possible, but not less than two full working days, in advance of sign installation.
- Review the Arizona 811 confirmation with the list of sign locations which have received responses from all impacted underground utility owners/operators.
- Work safely around all marks by installing sign posts at least 24 inches from any mark on the ground to avoid striking a buried utility.
